Hi, I'm Spenser -a wedding and elopement photographer drawn to real connection and stories that feel lived in. Photography, to me, is about perspective. It's about noticing what matters and preserving it with intention, feeling, and a little bit of soul.
When I'm not behind the camera, I'm usually chasing something. Speed on the ski slopes (sometimes gracefully, sometimes very much not), a good laugh, or the quiet that comes after a full day of showing up all in. I love big adventures and slow evenings. My dogs are never far, my family keeps life full and meaningful, and that balance is kind of my sweet spot.
What drives me most is how the experience feels. I want you to walk away relaxed, confident, and genuinely excited. The kind of excited that leads to a "that was actually so fun" text before I've even made it home. If you're curious what that's like from the other side, you can read a few kind words here -> Nice little love notes.
I'm really glad you're here.
I'm here for the people who want great photos and a good experience. Where things feel natural and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish.
I show up prepared, tuned in, and fully present with the ability to keep things moving without making them feel rushed or staged. Sometimes that means giving direction. Sometimes it means stepping out of the way entirely. Either way, you won't be left wondering what's happening or feeling like your'e "doing it wrong."
Colorado is home and I take full advantage of it, however, the real focus is always on the people in front of me. The energy, the interaction, the moments that happen when you stop trying to make something happen. That's where the good stuff lives.
If you want an experience that feels relaxed but intentional and handled by someone who knows how to keep things light while still delivering high-level work, we'll get along just fine!
The stress is low. The standards are high. Let's start here =).
I've always been drawn to the feeling of old films and cinematic storytelling. The ones we observe where nothing is rushed, the light lingers a little longer, and moments feel honest rather than polished. The scenes you remember aren't perfect. They're textured. A little imperfect. Full of life. That's how I see love, too.
Real connection isn't loud all the time. It's the quick glance across the room. The way someone reaches for your hand without thinking. Those are the moments that hold weight. The interactions that seem so small while they are happening yet monumental later.
My inspiration is drawn from all of the nostalgia we feel today when we look back on an old film or photograph. Photography lets me slow things down just enough to hold onto them. Tangible pieces of art from genuine life moments.
While I can't bottle time or trail behind you playing background music forever, I can give you images that take you right back into your memories. The kind that age well. The kind that still feel good years from now.
Thats what inspires me.
Thats what I'm always looking for.
Before photography, I wore many hats. One of those was working as a registered respiratory therapist. This role offered a front-row seat to how fragile, meaningful, and finite life really is. It taught me to pay attention. To understand how much weight lives in small moments, and how deeply connection matters when everything else falls away.
That experience shaped the way I move through the world and it shapes the way I photograph. While healthcare was a profound calling, I knew my path would eventually shift towards something more creative. A way to hold meaning not just in crisis, but in everyday life. Photography became that space.
What draws me in goes beyond the image. The quiet recognition when someone sees themselves reflected honestly or the way a single frame can carry emotion, context, and memory all at once.
My approach to this work is with intention and care. The images you'll receive will be lasting reminders of something real. Something grounding. Something that brings you back to how it felt.
Hey hey, Spenser here. Photographer, intuitive observer, and the steady presence you didn't know you needed.
I would say I am equal parts calm and hype remaining grounded when things feel big or energized when the moment calls for it. I read rooms quickly, connect easily, and know how to create space for people to be fully themselves without turning the experience into a performance.
There's a refined, editorial edge to how I see the world, but the heart of my work is human. No forced energy or awkwardness. Just honest documentation guided by trust, taste, and emotional awareness.
Outside of photography, I'm drawn to movement & simplicity. Strong coffee, quality time spent with the people and animals I love fiercely, mountain air, long runs, and evenings that slow down on purpose. I care deeply about how things feel, not just how they look, and that philosophy shapes everything I create.
So, if you're searching for a photographer that just gets you, I think we just might be the perfect match. I am fully invested in your story and can't wait to celebrate with you!

Spenser took our engagement photos and we couldn't be happier! She made us feel so comfortable when we felt awkward at first, she coached us with poses, and all around gave us the best vibes. We had fun while taking our pictures and it made us even more excited to work with her for our wedding day! She got us previews by the next morning and surprised us with our final gallery in less than a week. I can't speak highly enough about her!!!
I cried happy tears when we received previews just hours after our engagement session. They are everything I wanted and more! My fiancè and I were nervous we would look awkward in poses but Spenser talked us through it and it was easy and fun, it all felt very natural! She helped us choose the perfect mountain location and blew us away at every step in the process. We cannot wait for her to document our wedding!
Spenser captured our microwedding in RMNP and we could not be happier with how our photos turned out! She was very encouraging and made us comfortable. She found the perfect locations and was a positive grounding energy throughout the day. We had multipe family members comment on how sweet and professional she was.
